PBC Team of Experts

A three-man Team of Experts was established in December 2003 with the aim to supervise the methodology and execution of the surveys. The experts are responsible for analysing and settling publishers' claims concerning the methodology of BPC survey. Together with publishers and other entities interested in the data they are constantly improving the way the surveys are carried out. 

Henryk Banaszak, Ph.D.

pracownik naukowy Instytutu Socjologii Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (Zakład Statystyki, Demografii i Socjologii Matematycznej). Uczestnik szeregu znaczących naukowych projektów badawczych (m. in. OECD PISA 2000-2006, badania postaw i poglądów posłów II i III kadencji 1999-2001, Specjalista Krajowy w programie SMART 1997-1999), w których zajmował się problemami metodologii badań, analiz statystycznych i doboru próby. W pracy naukowej zajmuje się również teorią wyboru społecznego i formalną teorią polityki. Autor lub współautor szeregu publikacji naukowych, a także ekspertyz i opinii tak dla instytucji publicznych, jak i firm komercyjnych.

Jacek Haman, Ph.D.

Academic in the Institute of Sociology of Warsaw University (Chair of Statistics, Demography and Mathematical Sociology). Participated in numerous significant research projects (e.g. OECD PISA 2000-2006, views and attitudes of Polish Members of Parliament 1999-2001, specialist in SMART programme 1997-1999), where he dealt with methodology, statistical analysis and sampling. In his academic work he is particularly interested in social choice theory and formal theory of politics. He has authored and co-authored many academic papers, expert analyses and opinions for both public and commercial institutions.

Marek Styczeń, Ph.D.

Expert in sampling. Has been selecting samples for PBC survey – the largest quantitative research with random sample – since 2006. Works in  the Institute of Sociology of Warsaw University.
